Worked E77DX this evening from Kansas. Probably not a big deal to the seasoned
DXers on
this list - but it impressed me.
I was using a 100 foot piece of wire tossed up over the garage and strung along
side our home for
the 10M contest. 10M got slow and I listened some on the Top Band. Heard an
absolutely amazing
signal from E77DX on 1.819 after midnight. He was coming strong in over S-9
local noise. Adjusted
the tuner to load the wire on 160M and gave him a few calls with 100w. At 0619
UTC in the log. Heard him
work numerous 6s and 7s.
