Great stuff Bob with only 25W.
The magic band indeed!

I am still out of town, but decided to check the band with the laptop logged
into the remote.
As soon as I brought up the Flex SDR software I could see Andy DL8LAS calling
CQ as a strong trace on the waterfall. I powered up the amp, but also had to
crank-up the tower since we had some big winds lately and the tower was down.
Andy’s signal remained good copy while waiting for the amp to warm up, and I
called even before the tower was at full height. Andy heard me on the first
call even though my SWR was over 5:1.
Next I worked Tord SM3EVR, followed by John G3PQA and then Jan OM2XW. John
SM5EDX was logged with a solid 589, followed by Goran SM4DHF and Carl SM6CPY.
I couldn’t stay on the band and call CQ since I was sitting on the couch with
the XYL watching TV and she was unimpressed with me clicking the keyboard on
the laptop while wearing headphones :-)

Let’s hope this conveyor belt of cycling solar wind blasts will burn out soon.
The sun seems to be set up to blast us every week such that the 27 day cycle
has no quiet periods at all. Perhaps things are starting to settle down?
