Hi, Mark --

Rohn 25G typically requires 3/16 inch EHS guy wire which is rated at
3990 pounds breaking strength and should be tenisoned at 10% of ultimate
breaking strength, or approximately 400 pounds. (Use of a Loos guy wire
tensioner will result in accurate tension.) A locking carabiner such as the
ones sold by TOWER TECH are rated at 25 kN or 5625 pounds. While not
normally used in this kind of application, the rating shows a comfortable
safety margin for your installation. A more common rigging device would be a
clevis, or shackle, to do the same thing. These are usually available at
your local hardware store. The main thing is to make sure that the ultimate
breaking strength and safe working load are compatible with your
installation. It doesn't hurt to over-engineer things either.
