Fred,

Flipping one antenna is no problem (a modeler just sets one up from minus
to plus and the other plus to minus).  However, that is equivalent to 180
degree phase reversal between the two.  Although the results for a quad of
Yagis would not be identical to the stacked pair, the general idea of
pattern change may convey the degree of change over a path that works best
with in-phase feed.
