Have had good luck polishing up my aluminum verticals with Never-Dull
Magic Wadding Polish. The can comes with polish saturated wadding
material, wipe it on, wipe off the corrosion. Works on most
metals, auto trim, silverware, cookware, brassware, marine hardware.
Did not have to use abrasives. It does leave a film, however, if not
thorough in the process. Once clean, just add Butter-Its-Not and
reassemble the antenna. Works very well, quick, no muss, no fuss.
Some extra elbow grease was needed for the darker corrosion stains.

Nothing like the sparkle of a clean antenna at sunrise!
