Never had much luck with any type of "scarecrow" and although the trained
falcon idea sounds interesting, that could turn into a whole new hobby, and I
hear the permits are hard to get. At our QTH we use a pointing cat (he
retrieves too) and an accurate air rifle with a 12X scope (don't hit the
elements, they dent easily). Saves on cat food too.
