I had the same thing happen a few years ago. I wound up pulling out
all the cables together, and prior to doing so, tied a new pull rope
to the far end. BTW, in case you haven't discovered it, cable pulling
soap makes all the difference in the world in pulling the cables back
in. It's available at any electrical supply store...
