Hi Rick. I don't know why you can't guy any crank up.  I have a 40 foot 
crank up here and I have it guyed at the top of the bottom section and 
the top of the top section.  I just have to be careful and not try to 
crank it down when the wind is blowing real hard and the top guys go 
slack.
