Ok,

I have received a few comments privately about this. Let me clarify.

The 80 foot tower is guyed with phylistran. The Th7 is located on another
self supporting tower. I have had the Th7 at 80 feet. This is not a
scientific observation. My observations have been made over the last
contest season. I have no doubts that the Th7 will work better at 80 feet.
The point is that for the size/weight and cost. Not to mention the
maintenance issues.

I can easily install a C3 on my tower with one person for ground help and
myself on the tower. Ever tried it with a Th7? Not fun.

I will give the Th7 nods when it comes to F/B. Since I mainly focus on
Domestic contests having a crappy F/B ratio is actually beneficial. But I
guess that is another can of worms.

Please looks at this information for comparison only. I don't need to hear
about all the zillions of reasons I am seeing what I am seeing. I have used
a multitude of different antennas from tribanders to yagis. I am impressed
with the C3. If you aren't so be it.
