Because I could get 75 ohm CATV hardline cheap. I trimmed the length to be
a multiple of 1/2 wave at 3500 kHz, using an Autek RF-1 to cut it
precisely. There is RG-213 on both ends (up the tower and into the shack).
I'd love to have 50 ohm hardline but couldn't get a second mortgage ;^}
