I'll soon be completing the erection of a Heights aluminum tower 56'
high. What kinds of metal clamps are OK to use on aluminum, to connect to
the copper grounding cable? Where can I buy these?
Also, the copper cable I have is pretty good, 28 woven strands of #16
wire. But, it's been outside for 10 years, and has lots of oxidation.
Whats a good way to brighten up the end of the cable so that the clamps will
have good conductivity? Is there any concern of a lightning stike hitting
aluminum? should I place a steel rod near the top and run a ground cable
down one leg?
