After replacing all of the trap end caps,
TAPE them with Scotch 33 electrical tape,
ending with a loose turn that you CUT off.
Cutting instead of pulling will prevent "flagging"
and the tape will prevent uV deterioration of
the end caps, enabling them to last forever.
You might also want to tape over the insulator
ends that are exposed at the driven elements.
