I Guess I was way off!!!
I thought BNC was Bayonet Nut Coupling
and the TNC was Threaded Nut Coupling
The others I have never heard names for their letters.
But I can guess
N-"Nasty"(to put together) "Nice"(to use)
UHF (also known as PL-259)- "Ultra High Failure"
F-"Fast"(to put on)
SMA-"Send Microscope Al!" (ever put one together?)
