Re: EZ Way Tower: The top bearing of the lower section is
a NICE Mfg. 1638 TNTG18 designation, and readily available
at the industrial bearing sources.
The old bearing?s outer race had cracked cross ways and was
cutting the softer steel in the metal pulley holder. I plan
to reinforce this holder before the tower goes up. Other
users of these
towers should be aware of this fault.
I have had several weeks of inspecting this tower and will
advise of other findings.
