Another big plus in the c-4's favor is reduced maintenance: there are no
traps and associated connections to hold bugs, water, arc-over, etc and go
bad.
Definitely DO spend the extra $35 or so for the "stainless hardware option"
when you order your Force-12 antenna. otherwise, all the element-to-boom
clamps will be <*sighhh*> zinc plated steel. One previous post here reported
rust on his standard hardware after being up only 1 year.
Even with the stainless option, the boom-to-mast clamps are plated steel,
but at least you can reach these on a climb to shoot 'em with cold
galvanize.
