the noise is still generated while the unit sits on the bench-
I replaced the coax going from the RCS inside unit to the outside control box
with a short piece of coax with the RCS 4 outdoor relay box, sitting here on
the bench, to the unit- then hooked up one of the beverages outside...still
getting the 10KHz spaced noise on 160 meters- then tried all my verticals
with the same result- .....since the coax connnections have been mentioned as
a suspect, that has too has now been eliminated- but the interesting thing is
that the humm noise is only is heard when an antenna is hooked up to port
one- take off the antenna- and nada- why would loading the circuit cause
this? If it were a retification problem, would I not hear it without a load
hooked up?well, any suggestions???? 73 Paul N0AH
