     Not recommended. You want to use a piece of stainless steel between 
them. And use an antioxidant as well. 

     If you've got round tower legs, then you'd want to use a hose clamp with 
a piece of stainless between the two. Polyphaser makes them. The one for 
1-1/4" to 2-1/4" (Rohn 25G, 45G & 55&) is the TK-2. Champion Radio Products 
sells them.

     If you've got angle legs, then you'd use an angle clamp. It's made out 
of stainless steel and provides a place to connect a ground wire lug or 
copper strap. Champion sells them too. They're both less than six bucks. 

     The antioxidant is your choice, available locally.
