Dick,
I have used one in several different configurations--- it works fairly well
with the
top loading that a yagi provides, but is a miserable performer without it. The
manufacturer states in the instruction sheet that top loading is preferred, so
they
are " up front " about it. It has been my experience that simple 1/2 wave
dipoles
for each band work better than the DX-A, however.
