Hi Mark,
I use a "local" supplier in KC area that ships UPS "all over"...
and I have found on several trip to their store that they are
nice, pleasant folks to deal with.
They sell good quality AL tubing, T-6061-T6 from 1/2" OD
through 2" with a wall of .058". tubing is sold in
12' or 6' lengths ONLY, unless they happen to have a shorter
length in the scrap bin. They also have AL angles, U-channel,
hex, rods, etc. I don't see any flat "plate" material in their
catalog that would be suitable for boom-mast use.
They also have a good selection of SS machine screws, etc.
I don't know what they have on their website...always go there
in person so I can look in the "scrap bin" before I buy new..hi :)

now for flat plate material, I have always gone to the local
scrap yard for that...MUCH easier to find flat plate than
tubing.
