Jim,

You forgot to mention that you took out the Alpha Delta switch with your
Henry 8K amplifier. There are not to many switches that are built for
amateur service that can handle the 3CX3000A7 tube that comes in your 8K
amplifier.

You told this story on another reflector a while ago and if I remember
correctly you also took out a sensing unit for an RF Applications watt meter
that was rated for 3000 watts. I don't think the switch failure had anything
to do with high SWR.
