With all the discussion about log periodics, why not consider
the use of a HyGain TH-11 YAGI for 10-12-15-17-20 meters with
more gain than the log periodic.
Then stck the "magic antenna", a Cushcraft 2 element 40
meter yagi. The addition of a simple wire antenna of some type for
30 meters will then give you a GREAT all band station on all the
bands 10-40 meters. The TH-11 even works great on 6 meters.
