US Tower is a small company with plenty of business. Several years ago they
stated plainly that you should deal with their re-sellers rather than
calling them. Rohn is exactly the same way. I did get a reply from the
Rohn SE Rep about a recent inquiry but they also plainly say they deal with
the commercial and military markets or the re-sellers. And re-sellers handle
hams!
US Tower has not helped much with PE packages and refurbishing for hams
since the beginning. Even Lou Tristao (the original designer of the towers)
could be snappy at times.
Please remember the ham market is very small and not very profitable. Its
hard to find a place in any business model for support without $$$ to
support it.
I suggest all ham sales go through a dealer/reseller even for products not
normally sold to hams. I'll bet the price will be better anyway!!
