Roofs have trusses (some antennas too) - towers have bracing members.
That's what confused me.

    Here's what dictionary.com says:

>> Brace -
a. A device that holds or fastens two or more parts together or in place; a
clamp.
b. A device, such as a supporting beam in a building or a connecting wire or
rope, that steadies or holds something else erect. >>

Tower braces are typically horizontal or diagonal.

    Your previous statement

> > In fact, both brackets for both sets of guys
> > were mounted just under the trusses.

shows that the guy assemblies were mounted in a wrong spot. As others
have pointed out, the guy assemblies should rest on the horizontals.

Not trying to nitpick but it's easier when we're talking about the same
things.

GL on getting them straightened out.
