This 214-page book, Moxon Rectangle Notes by L. B. Cebik, W4RNL, is the
most complete study to date of this special antenna design, pioneered by
G6XN. The volume analyzes why the Moxon works as it does and supplies
many practical designs for amateur bands ranging from 80 meters through
the UHF range. In addition, the book provides both methods and means of
designing a Moxon rectangle for virtually any frequency simply by
knowing the design frequency and the desired element diameter.

Practical Moxon designs begin in the lower HF region with wire
rectangles for single direction use and for reversible beams, as well.
For the upper HF region, there are rotatable aluminum tubing designs for
home and field applications. There is a chapter on incorporating the
Moxon rectangle into multi-band beams. In the VHF region, where the
antenna is useful in both horizontal and vertical orientations, Cebik
presents designs and applications making use of the Moxon's special
pattern characteristics. The Moxon also has potential as a fixed
satellite antenna when pointed straight upward in a turnstile
configuration.

Moxon Rectangle Notes has over 210 pages of text in 9 well-illustrated
chapters. As a bonus, the author has included every model (in EZNEC
format) used in his study in a special folder/directory. The collection
also contains model-by-equation files in NEC-Win Plus format for
designing 50-Ohm and 95-Ohm versions of the rectangle. Also included in
the file collection is the AC6LA Windows program for generating Moxon
dimensions.

In a special chapter, the author introduces three methods of
computerized Moxon design: a GW Basic utility program, a NEC-Win Plus
equation-based model, and a Windows program developed by Dan Maguire,
AC6LA.
