Hi Larry
I bought mine at a shop that sells bearings, connectors, collars -
industrial goods place.
I have an extra rotor shelf in my 25G that helps keep the mast from
tilting if one has to take the rotor out. I leave a split collar on the
mast and simply loosen & slide it down on the spare rotor shelf when I
have the mast hoisted for removing the rotor.
These aren't expensive and they hold. My mast is 2 1/2" OD, is 21'
long, and I can't lift it. I wouldn't trust hose clamps - maybe not
even muffler clamps.
Split collars work good.
