Only
I use the one shots http://www.rogerhalstead.com/ham_files/ground.htm and
stranded #2 copper. *some* of the copper was installed over 19 years ago
and is still in fine shape.
Code here calls for solid, or stranded #6 for the house electrical ground,
but even with the wet soil we had to put in two 8 footers. OTOH all that
ties into the # grounding for the antenna system.
