K5GW was obviously reading my mind when he wrote:

As an aluminum supplier, Texas Towers recommends the following procedure in
case of stuck aluminum:

1> skip the lubricant
2> skip the tools
3> skip the aggravation
4> order a new fresh bunch of tubing from Texas Towers
5> take the old stuff to a scrap yard and sell it
6> use the proceeds to buy some beer
7> invite your friends over to help drink the beer
8> you win, we win, the scrap yard wins and your friends win!

Your aluminum options are shown at _www.texastowers.com_
(http://www.texastowers.com) .

Tnx/73,
Gerald Williamson, K5GW
Texas Towers
p.s. yes it is a slow day!

And what I WAS going to add, but thought it might sound too
cynical was.... And I've done just about all the wrestling
with old aluminum that this body is going to do in this lifetime.

Add to Gerald's wisdom: "sell the old stuff cheap, donate it to
the red cross and take a tax writeoff, or simply give it to friends
and let THEM bring the beer." Your back will thank you for it.
