What kind of GPS receiver do you have?
You might be able to set it to display in decimal degrees, rather than
degrees/minutes/seconds.

Subject: [TowerTalk] LAT/LONG QUESTION

My logging program requires that I enter the lat & long figures as:

28.xxxxxx and -82.xxxxxx.

I have the figures from my GPS receiver but they are expressed as:

   28.27.319 N
_82.36.623.W

How do I convert the above to the 28.xxxxxx format?
Thanks in advance.

Gene, WØQFC
Spring Hill, FL

PS Where can I find info on Lat/Long so I can learn more?
