Great discovery...
another one...

Here is the URL for a  map near us in Santa Cruz CA.

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=37,-122&spn=0.029097,0.042400&t=k&hl=en

Now, just copy that url and substitute your desired LAT LONG  into the URL 
ll= and get instantly translated to that location...so you can quickly get 
to where you want by direct Lat Long...
I used Lat = 37 Long = -122, above..
