I think I have essentially the same tower. Mine doesn't have "positive pull
down"; that's another cable that will telescope the tower sections back
together. If I have the tower horizontal for maintenance and crank the top
section out, i have to push mine back in manually. When it's vertically
positioned gravity will do the job for you.
Without positive pull down, you have to be careful that the tower sections
aren't binding when you try to retract the tower. That can happen when the wind
is blowing strong.
