Hi All,

Just wondering if any of you remember and know what became of a homebrew
tower that was on the cover of QST somewhere in the 1980-1982 period.

I think it was in Michigan, and it was made of pipe. The base was 120 feet
tall, tapered, with a platform for the chain driven rotator/ball-bearing
support and then the top of that section was at 120' with a thrust bearing.

Inside was a straight tower, about 3' on a side, 80' long (60' projecting
above the base).

If I recall, I saw the owner's kid trying to sell it on Ebay a few years
ago. Just wondering if anybody knows if something good became of it.

73,
Art, KC2G
