HI Neal,
I have never tried the HyGain, but I agree with Rob about it looking very 
rickety for that height.
There are a couple of guys on eBay who sell 4ft sections of 1.75 in aluminum 
masts (many of them have been painted white). I bought a nice set which came 
in a nice canvas golf-style bag (66ft total), very reasonable from a guy 
named Jerry Keys in NYC. As I recall I paid around $100 for the lot, plus he 
also made guy rings to go with it for a nominal fee.
There are a couple other guys listing this sort of thing but I have no info 
on them or their products.
Just search eBay for "aluminum mast" they should come up.
