#1 Tighten the mast clamp EXACTLY LIKE the instructions say
#2 Resist the urge to pin the mast to it!!!!
Ignore #1 and you'll break the clamp.
Ignore #2 and you'll end up with an aluminum housing full of thousands of
little bits and pieces.
