It really does sound like the best way to go.  Can anyone
suggest a source of decent quality flooded type shrink tube
at a reasonable price?  What sizes are best for sealing the
back of coax connector barrels on RG-213, LMR-400, etc and
sealing UHF-UHF splice joints?
