All my towers are the same.  Coax shields are bonded to the tower at the 
base and all cables (coaxes & rotator control cables & preamp controls) 
are protected with ICE arrestors at the SPG.  No need to install any 
other arrestors anywhere else; the SPG location is primary.

One of my towers is shunt fed on 160M and I do the same for that and no 
issues.
