John.

I use in lieu of the "hanging weight and spring", a 4' heavy duty solid
rubber tie-down or bungee, whatever they are called, on the ends of my 160m,
80m and 40m inverted V's. They have been up for almost five years here in
the windy part of North Texas, and not a problem. Full hot sun expose and
freezing weather. Pull them tight to take all the slack out and you will be
surprised how far they can stretch. Give one a try and see how long it will
stretch under load before it breaks.

Best regards,
Monty/WB5GLB since 1969
