..I have TRX Manager AND Logic8 both can have rotator control (they are
linked)..Problem is I cannot get solid control thru Windows Hyperterminal
(terminal program) just calibrating it..I initially did..sorta..half the time I
type and nothing show's up in the terminal program?>..

Are you using a logging program that controls your rotor? There are many out
there. Here's a free one that will let you check it out:

Download the HRD (Ham Radio Deluxe) HRD Rotator program, configure the Com
port for your rotor, then select the type of card/interface (Hygain DCU-1, or
Idiom Press, for example). Then click on "Connect". Once that's done, you'll
see a map where you can click on an area, and - if everything is working - the
rotor will move to that azimuth.

I tried testing the rotor function by typing AP1030;AM!; per the instr.
wouldn't do anything, nothing I typed showed up in Hyperterminal
I redid it all (after restarting the PC..and starting over..nothing I typed
show's up in Hyperterminal...I checked the Device Mgr in Control Panel for Com
Port 4..it's working and set up @ 4800 baud, etc too & it say's it's working
OK..
What am I missing..or is the RotorCard DXA sorta DOA?
Any ideas?........Thanks in advance for any & all help..
