Hello all!
Last fall, we had ELEVEN turkey vultures that were
perched on my stack of yagis on my 76' tower. These
birds are very large; their wing spans can exceed 6'
from tip to tip.
My little CushCraft A3-WS didn't like having the birds
sitting on the elements, though. The reflector was
moved out of position, due to the weight of a couple of
my feathered friends perched on the element.
I don't try to keep any birds off of my antennas. In
addition to the turkey vultures, we are regularly visited
by red-tailed hawks, who especially seem to like being
on the antenna on my 130' tower.
