You didn't say what rotor you are using but if it is a Hy-Gain, loosen the U 
clamps on the rotor, put a muffler clamp on the rotor mast above the thrust 
bearing, use a large screw driver or small pry bar under the bottom of the 
rotor mast and lift it up about 1/2".  While holding it up, tighten the nuts 
on the muffler clamp.  That will hold the mast without taking the antenna 
loose.  Remove the mast holding plate from the rotor and it will tilt out.
