   Joe,

You woke up a memory from the past. The first antenna I built after getting
my license in 1954 was the T2FD. I strung it from a tree top down to the
ground near the house. I found a surplus 500 ohm/250 watt carbon
non-inductive terminating resistor and fed the antenna with 450 ohm ladder
line directly to an ART-13 transmitter. It was a fantastic antenna and I
have considered building one again mounted off the tower. I still have the
resistor somewhere in my Treasure chest. The ART-13 and BC-348 are long
gone, but not the memories.
