We have 75 Ohm cable TV hardline buried all over the neighborhood (by the cable
company!) and it's been there for many years.

We do have gophers in the area. I've never heard of anyone's service
interrupted by GI (Gopher Interference) to the cables.

I have direct buried 1 5/8 hardline and it was underground for years with no
issues. Even if the outside plastic covering was damaged, I'm not sure that
moisture would cause a problem.

Is is OK to direct bury Andrew's 7/8" and/or CATV 75 ohm hardline?

I do have gophers in the area and don't know first, if hardline can be
direct buried, and second, if the gophers will chew on the outside covering
material. If they do, I don't think they can get through the outer copper or
aluminum shield, but it would open a path for water intrusion.

Tnx,

Ray, N6VR
