I guess I have been lucky. I got my first tower at 13 (51 now) and never
been hit. But didn't climb EVERY DAY until 15 years ago when I got
in the business. I have still never been hit. I'll knock on wood!

Unless they have a nest in something like a mast or some recess. OTOH in
the 50 years I've been climbing I've only found one nest more than 20 feet
off the ground...except in trees. There I've seen them 40 or 50 feet.
