Hi all,

I have an LM470 and I'm getting somewhat concerned with a vibration in the
cables as the tower is raised beyond the 58 to 60 foot mark. I usually run
it up to around 65 to 68' and when I'm almost all the way up there's some
sort of mechanical resonance going on. I can see the array jumping a little,
the pulldown cable vibrates noticeably and the raising cable also vibrates,
although not to the same extend. Once I pass to 60' mark it's smooth again,
and below the 55-58' point it's also smooth.just that one section. I've
taken to stopping the motor a few times in this range but I'm wondering if
this is something I should be concerned about, number one, and number two,
if there's anything I can do to fix it.

My tower installer says its nothing to worry about, but it ain't his tower.
The cable is about 5 years old and is 5/16" wire-rope (IIRC), which is
liberally lubricated with Prelube 6 every year. Any thoughts?

Peter,
