The current Rohn 25G/45G brochures actually show round bases but the
notes allow for a square base. The GSR (solid rod rails) brochure shows
a square base with a tower piece embedded in the concrete base. The older
25G/45G data had square base recommendations. I suspect it does not make
much difference. The square hole will take more concrete and would be easier
to dig with a backhoe. If you had access to big posthole digger then the
round
hole is probably easier a bit less concrete.
