Anyone using a HG-52-SS with a T6 or T8 log periodic? If so, are you using
the factory thrust bearing, no bearing, or have you adapted something?
The tower has a double top plate, so it does a pretty fair job of lateral
support with a short mast. Mast here will extend only a few feet out the
top. Not positive I need a thrust bearing because there won't be much in
the way of lateral stress and the rotor will handle the weight.
