Not so long ago bird repelling was a hot topic. For those of continuing
need/interest be advised that there are battery operated (4 AA batts)
ultrasonic pest repellers available and powering them with a 6 volt
supply shouldn't be too tough. They have motion detection trigger so
they only emit when triggered by motion.. These units are 5x5x3 inches
so not a big deal windage wise.

I have used similar units for cats and dogs with amazing success. Given
the repelling sounds are ultrasonic they can be aimed in an upward
direction to minimize "collateral damage", i.e. disturbing pets on the
ground like cats and dogs.
