Something is patentable if it is a non-obvious combination of everyday
things. Maybe you're using spare knives and forks in a clever
combination to secure the platform to the tower.
It says "patent pending"...
without seeing the patent application, you don't know what is actually
the patentable part. It could be some small piece of it: the hook
design, or clips, or something else. It could even be a design patent,
where what is being patented is essentially the physical appearance.
