Starting with photo 22 shows how I made a rain shield for the top bearing on the old style PST-61 rotator.

That would be similar to one for a thrust bearing.

It's a fairly large page so it'd take a long time on dial-up.

I just installed the first one today, but it appears that it should work
quite well.  I also installed one over the rotator mast clamps to shield
most of the rainwater from the top of the Orion  OR2800PXAZ rotator.
