Yep, and that goes for the bracing as well. If everything is solid,
there's no worry about what you can't see.
One nice thing about solid legs is you can clamp the hell out of them
when mounting antennas, with no worry about denting or deforming them.

have corrosive atmospheres that could favor the use of solid rod towers. I
have seen tubular towers that rust from the inside such that you can take a
medium size slotted screwdriver and poke a hole in the tower. That is a
little scary. I serve the broadcast industry and the those towers are
expected to be there for 50+ years. To prevent rust from the inside, paint
has been poured down the inside of tower legs to coat them.
