I used 12g. Terminated the ends with strain relief through an eye, crimped
back on itself with an gently pressed S crimp over the insulation and a
length of heat shrink. I usually use a small ty-wrap around the S crimp...
I have used a larger ty-wrap and some tape in lieu of the S crimp. I
haven't had a failure since a named storm event.
